Samsung Galaxy A8s Is Launched As The World’s First In-display Smartphone

Samsung, the leading Korean smart phone giant, has made an official announcement regarding the launch of the world’s first smartphone with the infinity-O display, which is referred to as GalaxyA8s. Moreover, the Korean smartphone manufacturer is addressing the camera hole in the display as an Infinity-O display. And, the phone maker has unveiled this advanced device against the introduction of Huawei’s Honor View 20. The smartphone boasts of an in-display camera; other highlights include Snapdragon710 chipset and RAM capacity of 8GB. The internal memory is expandable up to512GB via microSD card facility.

The smartphone sports a 6.4-inch display screen provided with a 6.7 mm wide camera hole positioned at the upper left corner including a selfie shooter. The display screen is boosted with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Apart from possessing the pretty slim bezels, specific details regarding the Super AMOLED were never released in prior by the Korean phone maker. The assumption in the tech world states that the phone comes packed with an LCD IPS screen.

The rear panel of the phone sports a triple camera module that features a 24MP primary sensor with a f/1.7 aperture. The secondary sensor is a 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, followed by the third which is a depth-sensing lens sporting a 5MP sensor and f/2.2 aperture.The front camera is a  24MP sensor donned with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone receives its power from a massive 3,400 mAh battery that provides support for dash charging, and it operates on Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung’s UI on top. The device are available in multiple variants like Blue, Gray and Green paint schemes accompanied with gradient colour options. The smartphone will be declared with pre-order availability after December 21 in the Chinese market. The smartphone is expected to be shipped only after the mentioned date of its launch. Although Samsung hasn’t revealed the prices for the smartphone, the price estimate is roughly between mid-range and upper-midrange.
